An Abstract Multimedia Design which was created by listening to the first 10 minutes of Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto #2 in C Minor, Op. 18:

It utilized both analog and digital processes. My aim was to capture the music on paper by using it as a stimulus to guide my hand while blindfolded. Follow the process below:
This was the blindfolded scribble that was created. The next stage of the process was to zoom in on pieces of the scribble and create frames that would be enlarged to postcards depicting different parts of the Piano Concerto. I used 3 different colored pens which I chose at different times throughout the listening.

These were the 6 postcard frames which were created from the initial scribble. The next part of the process was to combine them in a way using a digital tool.
I combined each postcard with Photoshop though a process of masking and blending. I eventually began to work with layer styles and effect filters.
I used a difference layer style and repeated the strokes digitally to create a fractal effect that was behind the main graphic. To create a sense of composition and more stability as to randomness, I eventually mirrored different selections to create 3 different pieces.
In the end I found a psychedelic black owl which I added further effects to and removed the white background. The process was very fun and open to interpretation. Visuals created this way would be cool to see at a live show or musical concert.
I found that this process could be used to make posters for musical concerts and performances as well as memorabilia for gigs, such as T shirts and Posters.
